In my opinion the best dual purpose self defense/EDC flashlights you can buy are the Olight Warrior Mini 2 - smaller, and Warrior 3S - bigger. They both have the same user interface. A tail switch that always gives you instant turbo for self defense and a side switch that gives you access to all levels for EDC.
