Can confirm that the 2nd dlc’s final boss ( the first form) drops an onmyo skill and the boss for the side mission ‘the dragon’s kin’ drops 2 skills 1 for ninjutsu and another for both the sword an the fists. The sword/fist skill is the exact same for both weapons and wil both be obtained from the same drop.
Any weapon can can run with light/medium/heavy armor so just go with whatever you are more comfortable with. Well light and medium is best for fists. Cuz it can get very ki heavy if you want to bring its max potential out. I run susano and magatsuchi graces and got lucky and got Courage Transform bonus and Ultimate Courage.

More ki damage lets you turn your brain off more if you're struggling, an enemy with no ki is not a threat and you can bully them. 8.
