While flint, agate, etc are 7 on Moh's hardness scale, obsidian is only 5. BTW stainless steel is also around 5 on the same scale. A good frizzen may actually be harder than obsidian. I have owned a Lyman GPR .50 caliber flint for better part of 10 years. My usual load is 80-85 grs. Goex FFg with a Hornady swaged .495" round ball with .018" mink oil lubed patch. With a witness I once-upon-a-time was able to pull off a 3 shot cloverleaf at 100 yards. Once and only once.The Lancaster is a .45 caliber flintlock and is listed for $550. The Tennessee is .50 caliber percussion but the rifle comes with a new L&R Flintlock and would just need a vent hole amd me to convert it. I have carefully ground the remaining 1/2 of the broken screw head off with a dremel tool, removed the other screw and patch box. You will then be able to remove the broken screw shank with a good pair of plyers or small vice grips.It is way easier than most folks that haven't pulled a load before realize to pull a load with a ball puller, especially on a clean barrel. If you don't already have one, get one with the brass ring that keeps the screw centered in the barrel. Screw it in and pull it. It will come out easy if the barrel was clean when it was loaded.

Pyrodex will often fail to fire in a flintlock. It has a higher ignition temperature than pure black. Some shooters start with a 5-10 grain load of real black powder and then some Pyrodex over that. Sounds like a lot of fussing and won't solve your problem. You will need real black powder to prime, for sure.The subject got on Uberti vs Pietta.
