Because it wasted a whole expansion on a major piece of content that added ZERO world building for FFXIV. Hacking saves so much time. Nearly all of 9S's encounters were much quicker than having to fight everything as 2B, so I actually came to like it. I find myself missing the option to hack now I'm back to normal combat with A2. Also, equipping a few ranged chips and the spear makes most fights as 9S really easy even without hacking. This requires players to first get through the 10 chapters from Route A with YoRHa 2B featuring her perspective of the occurring events. I felt the exact same way, I REALLY don't like 9S's play style, and I did rush A LOT of route B. Basically though from the Amusement Park boss and onwards, 9S learns more bits than 2B ever sees. Example; after defeating Beauvoir, cause of 9S's hacking he gets to see how she became the way she has and sees her past.
