I have 2 project guns on my bench, an 80 & 81. Neither of the bolts will close all the way for the same reason: the ejector and extractor won't align correctly. They are both hitting the breech face BELOW their slots in the barrel. The e & e look OK, a little worn, not damaged nor misshaped. I don't live in Portland, but about 15 miles west , but I drive through Portland on a regular basis on my way to other places and the homeless camps along all the major highways, in the Parks, and in the commercial areas is pretty disgusting.

I have one which has been shot a little, with a good lot of ammo it should easily better 1/2" at 50 yards and equal or only barely exceed 1" at 100 yards, not a fan of the magazine or ejection system but overall they are excellent rifles.
