When I'm playing Offensive Captain, and my friend is playing defensive captain, for some reason if i call ANY shotgun plays, it switches him to QB after the snap and takes me off the field until he completes a pass, then I switch automatically to the ball carrier. If you're looking to play squads, I suggest you play with a friend or at least someone online who you can communicate with. I'm not convinced it would necessarily be better though. Squads can be even more frustrating than h2h if you get stuck with a bad group.
