I have a P365, born 5/16/18, which makes a noticeably dull thud sound when dry fired. This sound was mentioned previously by fedupmech on his 5/24/18 SigTalk post "Finally got to hold a P365" and by ShootAlot44 in his 5/30/18 post "P365 - What we know". The dull thud sound was thought to be the sign of a new P365 deficiency.At least for me the Kahr ergonomics are just a little off, while the 9mm P365 is very good. So I think a Sig .45 just enough larger than the P365 to accommodate the larger round would be pretty good. Sig seems to like 1911 pattern for .45 though. Someone mentioned recoil with a 230 grain Gold Dot in the Kahr P45.The results (NONE on the P365) of work done by Sig have been mixed. Reviews of work by Robert Burke (The Sig Armorer) have been universally excellent but I have yet to find any reviews of work done by either Sig or Burke on the P365 trigger. ... I would however pay a bit more attention to replacing the RSA at the interval recomended by Sig, cleaning per factory recomendations, using a good-quality lube, and shooting with a firm grip. As always, I would suggest vetting your chosen carry ammo in your gun.

With the cost of 9mm these days, I would buy a P365 chambered in 22LR for some cost effective, realistic training. The gun would need to weigh the same as a 9mm P365 and have the same trigger pull. I'm not sure if a 22LR would have enough recoil to cycle the slide.
6) Assure that the extractor and its hidden crevices are clean and add a drop of oil. 7) Do an extractor tension test with a cartridge. 8) Work the slide by hand for a few nights while watching TV, to help the break in process. 9) Store the pistol with the slide locked open for the first 300-500 rounds.
